Silk Road Webquest – Introduction

16 Mar

You are a merchant living in one of the great cities along the Silk Road.  Together, with your fellow merchants, you will soon be determining what trade goods will be bought and sold along the Silk Road.  Since you will spend quite a bit of time on the road — without modern conveniences such as your iPod or MP3 player and your personal DVD player — you will have a lot of time to think.  Here are some of the essential questions that you should consider:

  • How does geography shape how we live?
  • What are the consequences of trade/buying and selling?
  • How are goods and services produced, distributed, and consumed?

To get started, click on the Task page and let’s get started.
